Road Closures
The Pettis County Road and Bridge Department would like to inform you that the McCurdy Road bridge between Smelser Road and McClure Road, will be subject to road closures for bridge replacement from September 28, 2026, until November 1, 2026. We ask that you make travel arrangements accordingly.

The Pettis County Road and Bridge Department would like to inform you of upcoming road closures on Menefee Road related to road surface maintenance. Please make alternate travel arrangements and plan accordingly during this time.
Full Closure:
Menefee Road from Highway MM to Snow Road, will be closed for PHASE 2 road surface maintenance beginning at 7:00 A.M. on Monday, August 24, 2026, weather permitting. Work is anticipated to be completed by 7:00 A.M. on Friday, August 28, 2026, weather permitting.
Daily Closures:
Menefee Road from Highway T to Snow Road is subject to daily road closures for road surface maintenance. These daily closures will remain in effect as necessary until the project is completed.

The Pettis County Road and Bridge Department would like to inform you that the Bennett Road Bridge, located between Upton Rd. and Bennett Ln., will be closed to through traffic beginning August 24, 2026, for bridge replacement. Completion of the project is anticipated in December 2026. We ask that you make arrangements during this time.

The Pettis County Road and Bridge Department would like to inform you that the McVey Rd. Bridge, located between Marshall Rd. and Goodwill Chapel Rd., is closed to through traffic effective immediately for bridge replacement. Completion of the project is anticipated in November 2026. We ask that you make arrangements during this time.

A qualified individual is one who:
1. Has the physical ability required to lift and to move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
2. Can perform required duties in inclement weather conditions including ice, snow, and extreme cold or heat.
3. Has the interpersonal skills necessary to relate to colleagues and members of the public under conditions that may, on occasion, be adversarial or stressful.
4. Has vision and hearing, with or without corrective devices, considered within the normal range necessary to safely operate heavy equipment.
5. Has a valid Missouri operator’s or CDL license necessary to carry out the primary responsibilities for the position hired.
6. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
7. Can understand, interpret, and implement verbal and written instructions.
8. Must be able to perform daily routine physical activities without restrictions.
